“Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences: Transition from Basic to Translational Research”
The Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences has continuously arranged an annual meeting in pharmaceutical and health sciences since 1982. This is intended to give an opportunity for researchers, academics, graduate students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical sciences and others in Chulalongkorn University, and any interested persons from various institutes in Thailand to communicate their work via oral and poster presentations and to share their knowledge and experiences with other participants in 8 areas that embrace:
1. Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Natural Products
2. Biopharmaceutical Sciences
3. Pharmaceutical Technology
4. Clinical and Social/Administrative Pharmacy
5. Pharmacology and Toxicology
6. Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
7. Cosmetic Sciences and Technology
8. Complementary and Alternative Medicines
Additionally, some special lectures will be delivered by distinguished guests and the Nagai Award for pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences will be awarded to outstanding researchers who have got their work published in refereed journals with high impact factors. As for this year meeting, the theme “Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences: Transition from Basic to Translational Research” has been emphasized to mirror the research intended to meet the domestic needs for health and medications, especially for helping patients and the public optimize the use of medicines in terms of efficacy and safety, which is part of their overall health needs. Apart from that, the research can bring about the collaborations with universities and institutes abroad, such as Japan and ASEAN.
The meeting will be held by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences on March 2 – 3, 2017, at the Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, Bangkok, Thailand.
